My Story

Hi, I am Toddison.  I am the creator and owner of Stickburner Clothing Co.  Glad you stopped by. I am a family man with a full-time career and busy life who is passionate about cooking for my family and friends with live fire.

Over 15 years ago I started tossing wood chips in my tinfoil and adding it to my Weber gas grill.  That difference from the smoke created a monster in me for better and better BBQ.  This lead to a variety of Weber charcoal smokers and grills showing up in my yard.  I was all in, with charcoal at this point! I purchased a bigger firepit and got into wood fire cooking.  And with that my new addiction with cooking began. After a few years of using the firepit non-stop I pulled the trigger and built my own reverseflow smoker,  which I named The Fox. And so I began my adventure with running a true stickburner.  Now on to my next and biggest adventure!!

I stood before a dilemma. I wanted to wear something that represented my passion for cooking with fire, but could not find anything I wanted. The market offered "BBQ" shirts, hats, and hoodies, but they missed the mark. Those “Dad” shirts, adorned with pig faces and corny flames, were not my style. There is some nice product-based merch out there, but it didn’t speak what I wanted to represent, great products but not what I was after.  I wanted something that represented the dedication that goes into lighting that fire to cook some epic food. So I decided to create this brand, for me, you and those Stickburners out there like us.  

I started this brand for the people with a story of real wood, live fire and great BBQ skills. Those who enjoy the process and temperament of the fire, following your intuition when to move the coals, add another split or tweak a dampener. It doesn’t matter if that fire is in an offset smoker, a  Santa Maria grill,  or a campfire on a beach we are drawn to it and want to manipulate it. It is the original method of cooking, and we are keeping this timeless tradition alive, with pride and passion!
